Author Rights to Deposit Scholarly Work in Repositories

Consortium Publisher – ICDTD Inc., Canada acknowledges the critical role of institutional and subject-specific repositories in enhancing the visibility, accessibility, and impact of scholarly outputs. In alignment with best practices in open scholarship and copyright compliance, we support authors' rights to self-archive their manuscripts in repositories of their choice, subject to the terms outlined below.

Permitted Manuscript Versions for Deposit

Authors retain the right to deposit the following manuscript versions in repositories:

  • Accepted Manuscript (Post-Print): The final peer-reviewed manuscript accepted for publication, prior to publisher formatting and typesetting.
  • Published Version (Version of Record): Deposit of the formatted, published version requires explicit permission unless published under a fully open access license permitting such use.

Approved Repositories for Manuscript Deposit

Authors may deposit their accepted manuscripts or other permitted versions in any of the following recognized repositories:

  • Diadorim Repository: A dedicated platform facilitating open access archiving and dissemination of scholarly works.
  • Dulcinea Repository: A subject-specific repository promoting broad accessibility of academic publications.
  • Mir@bel: An open access platform providing long-term preservation and dissemination services.
  • Open Policy Finder: A resource supporting authors’ compliance with funder mandates and repository policies.
  • Other Institutional or Subject-Specific Repositories: Authors may utilize their own institutional repositories or discipline-based archives to deposit eligible manuscript versions.
  • Publisher’s Own Site: Subject to copyright and licensing terms, authors may archive their work on personal or publisher-hosted websites, with appropriate citation linking to the version of record.

Compliance and Best Practices

To ensure legal compliance and enhance scholarly communication, authors are advised to:

  • Clearly identify the manuscript version deposited (e.g., accepted manuscript) and include a proper citation and DOI linking to the published version.
  • Observe any applicable embargo periods or access restrictions stipulated by publishing agreements or funding bodies.
  • Provide transparent acknowledgments of Consortium Publisher – ICDTD Inc., Canada as the original publisher.
  • Adhere to repository-specific metadata and submission guidelines to maximize discoverability and interoperability.
