Consortium Publisher Canada
Consortium Publisher Canada serves as the legally constituted publishing authority responsible for the strategic governance, academic oversight, regulatory compliance, and operational management of its portfolio of scholarly journals and professional publications. The Publisher operates within a structured framework designed to uphold internationally recognized standards in scholarly communication, research integrity, transparency, and digital preservation.
The governance model is founded on principles of editorial independence, ethical accountability, and institutional transparency. Editorial decision-making is strictly separated from financial, commercial, or external influences to ensure that all publication outcomes are based solely on academic merit, methodological rigor, originality, and scholarly relevance. This separation safeguards the integrity, credibility, and neutrality of all journals operating under the Consortium Publisher Canada umbrella.
The Publisher provides institutional oversight of journal policies, strategic direction, and long-term sustainability while ensuring compliance with internationally accepted publishing standards, including the DOAJ Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing, COPE Core Practices, and Crossref requirements for DOI registration and metadata management. Policies governing peer review, conflict of interest disclosure, corrections, retractions, complaints handling, and research misconduct are formally established, publicly accessible, and periodically reviewed.
Consortium Publisher Canada maintains structured editorial leadership across its journals, including an Editor-in-Chief with full academic authority, supported by associate editors, section editors, and an independent editorial board composed of subject-matter experts. The peer review process is conducted according to clearly defined protocols to ensure impartiality, confidentiality, and scientific rigor. Quality assurance mechanisms include plagiarism screening, methodological review where appropriate, and editorial evaluation aligned with international academic standards.
The Publisher further ensures digital preservation and long-term accessibility of scholarly content through established archiving policies and standardized metadata practices. DOI assignment, indexing coordination, and discoverability compliance are managed to maintain accurate scholarly records and citation traceability.
Through this governance framework, Consortium Publisher Canada affirms its commitment to responsible scholarly publishing, academic excellence, ethical transparency, and sustainable knowledge dissemination within the global research community.
