Abstract
The Islamic System of Life, as articulated by Syed Abul A'la Maududi, is a complete, comprehensive, and universal code of conduct that provides guidance for every aspect of human existence, both individual and collective. In this work, Maududi establishes that Islam is not merely a set of religious beliefs but a practical system that encompasses politics, economics, society, law, justice, ethics, education, worship, and governance. The ultimate objective of this system is to establish a society grounded in the principles of monotheism (Tawheed), justice, equality, piety, freedom, and service to humanity. It aligns with human nature and offers success in both the material and spiritual realms of life. Through reasoned argument and analysis, the author critiques Western ideologies such as democracy and capitalism, asserting that they have failed to deliver true justice and peace. In contrast, the Islamic system is presented not only as ideologically sound but also as practically viable. The book elaborates on key areas such as Islamic beliefs, Shariah law, governance, economic principles, social structure, and moral conduct. It argues that Islam is the only system capable of fulfilling the innate needs of humanity while ensuring success in both this world and the hereafter.
