Abstract

Islam is a complete code of life that provides guidance for every aspect of an individual's and society's existence. Syed Abul A'la Maududi, through his writings and
intellectual struggle, not only clarified the Islamic worldview but also highlighted its significance in light of modern challenges.The Islamic worldview is based on the
fundamental belief that the universe is the creation of a single Creator and that humans have been placed in it with a specific purpose. According to Maududi, Islam
is not just a set of beliefs or rituals but a comprehensive way of life that covers intellectual, spiritual, moral, social, and political dimensions. He presents Islam not
merely as a religion but as a "system of life" that offers guidance in all areas of human existence. In the modern era, various ideologies have emerged under the
influence of Western civilization, such as secularism, liberalism, and socialism.

Maududi critically analyzed these ideologies and demonstrated their shortcomings inproviding true intellectual and spiritual satisfaction. According to him, secularism detaches humans from religion and leads them towards a purposeless life, whereas Islam establishes a balanced and meaningful connection between the individual and society. Fundamentals of the Islamic System: Maududi asserts that the Islamic system of life is based on three fundamental principles: Tawheed (Oneness of God): Risalah (Prophethood): Akhirah (Hereafter). Syed Maududi wrote extensively to present Islam as a complete and viable system of life. His notable works include "Islami Nizaam-e-Siyasat" (Islamic Political System), "Tafheem-ul-Quran" (Understanding the Quran), and "Islami Riyasat" (Islamic State). He not only contributed on an intellectual level but also actively struggled for the establishment of an Islamic system, influencing Islamic movements in the subcontinent.In today's era, where materialism and moral decline are widespread, Maududi’s thoughts hold even greater significance. His writings emphasize that Islam is not confined to mosques but provides guidance in all fields of life, whether politics, economics, or social issues. Syed Abul A'la Maududi’s work on the Islamic worldview is a valuable asset for the Muslim Ummah. He presented Islam as a dynamic, modern, and practical system that can still guide humanity today. His intellectual efforts remind us that if we implement Islamic principles in our daily lives, we can establish a just and peaceful society.
