Abstract

Holy Quran, being the revealed word of God contains guidance for mankind on allaspects of life. Science is the human understanding of the Act of God and laws and
principles created by God to govern the universe.
Physics among all the sciences stems from the big bang and continues to discover
and define laws that govern almost all aspects of life. Numerous Qur’anic verses
elucidate the structural design of everything from the heavenly bodies of the
physical cosmos, such as the galaxies, stars, sun, the moon, the earth, down to
atoms and subatomic space and the natural rules governing all these. Though a
large portion of the Qur’an reveals the rules of the natural sciences, however, it
emphasizes on the worth of signals beyond the natural sciences.
In Qur’anic view, the natural physics and the diversity of its subject matter are not
without aim. Besides, the functional consistency of the natural physics to serve
humanity, according to the Qur’an, the rules of nature, are signs, which indicate to
ultimate destinations. Therefore, philosophy of natural physics is a field which the
Qur’an requires man to reflect upon. This paper will attempt to drive the scientific
insights from the Holy Qur’an in the field of physics relating to the aspects of
Newtonian physics, Einstein’s theory of relativity, Quantum mechanics, and modern
nano physics. Some of the inferences that will be presented may still be in need of
experimental and/or theoretical evidence.
