PSYCHOLOGICAL EFFECTS OF PRE AND POST VACCINATION OF COVID-19: PEOPLE PERCEPTION IN SOUTHERN PUNJAB

Abstract

Due to myths and misconception Pakistan has already intense opposition to vaccination specially Covid 19 vaccination among people. A web based cross sectional study was conducted in the general population of Punjab Pakistan in June 2021.The self-developed questionnaire which is based on 30 items which comprises on pre vaccination, during vaccination and post vaccination fears, myths and psychological effects. The questionnaire was designed and randomly distributed through a google form link among the106 respondents. The results were analyzed using independent t sample test, ANOVA frequencies, percentage., mean and standard deviation.51 %people were on view that they are scared with other people experiences but after exposure of vaccination 56 %people suggest that they will motivate the other to get vaccinated .95% people was worried and feel stress after using social media about COVID 19 news. Only 9 %people believed that a microchip is going to be inserted.
