The journal supports public health by promoting healthy food choices, maintaining and enhancing the nutritional quality of food, and responding to specific public health concerns, protecting the health and safety of consumers by reducing food-related risks. It has been published online, annually, since 2016.
Advanced Food and Nutritional Sciences follows the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) definition of open access. Published work is shared under an open licence as described by Creative Commons, so anyone can read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link to the full text of articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, freely and without a subscription or delay.
Manuscripts are received and processed through Open Journal Systems (OJS) of the Public Knowledge Project (PKP).
