In addition, the journal provides a particular place, and an advanced forum, for contributions on Earth history, natural hazards, geology-related environmental problems and geoethics, reflecting the wide scope and the societal, educational, cultural and human implications of the cross-cutting nature of these issues. It has been published online, annually, since 2016.
Advanced Geosciences follows the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) definition of open access. Published work is shared under an open licence as described by Creative Commons, so anyone can read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link to the full text of articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, freely and without a subscription or delay.
