More Than 50 Pumpkin Parade Events Highlight Neighbourhood Participation Across Greater Toronto
Community pumpkin parades scheduled across Toronto and the GTA bring residents together through local celebrations and creative reuse of Halloween decorations.
GREATER TORONTO AREA — Communities across Toronto and neighbouring municipalities are organizing pumpkin parades during the October 31–November 1 weekend.
A regional event guide identifies more than 50 planned parades and displays, reflecting the continuing popularity of neighbourhood-based seasonal gatherings.
Residents are invited to exhibit carved pumpkins in designated parks and community spaces, allowing Halloween decorations to become shared public displays.
The events offer opportunities for intergenerational participation, volunteer involvement and informal neighbourhood interaction.
Many activities are scheduled for November 1, including displays in Mimico, North York and other Toronto communities.
The tradition also creates opportunities to discuss responsible waste handling, composting and the environmental management of seasonal decorations after the celebrations conclude.
