Abstract
Salmonella is a worldwide pathogen which can be isolated as a food borne pathogen and can Cause many pathogenic diseases such as diarrhea, abdominal cramps and typhoid fever and is responsible for number of deaths worldwide. The main objective of my study was to design a drug for the benefit of human kind against the pathogenic effect of Salmonella typhimurium by identifying the non- homologous gene of unique metabolism pathways, which can then be Used for potential target. I analyzed the potential targets through different softwares such as : UNIPROT, KEGG, DEG , Blast , SWISS MODEL and SAVES. In my study I found out that the murD gene is identified as the non-homologous and the essential gene which is most Preferable for the drug designing. It is present in the cytoplasmic region of the cell .the murD gene participates in the peptidoglycan biosynthesis pathway which is nowhere near to similar with human pathway and it can help in the cell lysis by disturbing the cell’s cytoplasm. So by acting on the murD protein we can target the respective organism and prevent the establishment of infection in human body. This could be a new breakthrough towards the treatment of infections caused by Salmonella typhimurium .
